Former Loyola University Chicago standout Blake Schilb has helped his team to the Czech Republic NBL Championship. The versatile 6-foot-7 Loyola graduate helped Nymburk to its fifth straight Czech League title as the team posted a staggering 43-1 record and defeated Geofin, four games to one, in the best-of-seven championship series. Former Loyola Basketball player Demetrius Williams Named Player Of The Year in Romania

Former Loyola University Chicago forward Demetrius Williams, who graduated in 2004, was recently named Player of the Year in Romania after an impressive season. Playing for Dinamo Bucuresti, the 6-foot-9 graduate of King High School averaged 17.9 points and 14.2 rebounds, while shooting 66 percent (93 for 142) from the field. (more)
