Matt Liddy, long-time coach and administrator within the Wright State University Department of Athletics, passed away Monday morning from an apparent heart attack at the age of 50.

Detroit senior Pjotrs Necajevs and UIC sophomore Mariya Kovaleva have been name Horizon League Tennis Players of the Week for the period of Jan. 18-24.

Butler senior Rob Mullett, Milwaukee senior Quinn Mongoven, Butler freshman Katie Clark, and Milwaukee freshman Samia Taylor have been named Horizon League Track and Field Athletes of the Week for the period of Jan. 18-24.

Krista Burrows, one of the top young coaches in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), has been charged with leading the Youngstown State volleyball program to regional and national heights similar to those she enjoyed at Walsh University.

INDIANAPOLIS - Milwaukee senior Kerry Rossow has been named the Horizon League Women’s Swimmer of the Week, while Green Bay senior Lauren McGraw has claimed Women’s Diver of the Week honors for the period of Jan. 18-Jan. 24.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Cedric Jackson, who earned Horizon League Defensive Year Player of the Year honors last season, has signed a 10-day contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers and should be in uniform when the Cavs host Oklahoma City on Saturday night.

CHICAGO - University of Illinois at Chicago head men's soccer coach John Trask has resigned his position to become the head men's soccer coach at the University of Wisconsin, effective immediately.
