Junior Emily Decorah scored a career-high 20 points as the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's basketball team came up just short in a late comeback, falling to Youngstown State University Thursday night by a score of 58-56 at the Klotsche Center.

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee used a 19-3 run early in the second half to swing a five-point deficit into a nine-point advantage and never looked back en route to a 71-53 win over Loyola Tuesday night at the Klotsche Center.Paris Gulley scored 21, Jordan Aaron added 16 and J.J. Panoske had a Milwaukee-record seven blocks in the game to lead the Panthers. UWM (6-20, 2-10 Horizon) also finished the game on a 17-3 run.

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team wrapped up a strong weekend in Iowa with a 4-3 win over UTEP Sunday afternoon. The Panthers (3-4) pulled out the doubles point and then claimed three singles wins to emerge with a victory for the second time in three outings over the weekend.

Jake Reilly and Dan Simon flirted with a pair of school records, two more Panthers added their names to the all-time top-10 performance list in school history and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's track & field team had another strong showing in the second and final day of action at the GVSU Big Meet hosted by Grand Valley State Saturday.

Cole Darling and Jerran Young scored 18 points apiece and Wright State never trailed in the game en route to a 64-49 win over the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Saturday night at the Klotsche Center. The Raiders (17-8, 8-4) moved into a second-place tie with Detroit in the Horizon League by steadily building an advantage while limiting Milwaukee to 40 percent shooting and forcing 16 turnovers.

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team dropped a hard-fought 4-3 decision to Drake Saturday afternoon at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center. The Panthers (2-4) won the doubles point and nearly captured the match but dropped a pair of singles contests in three sets. The performance was still a strong one for Milwaukee, as Drake won 22 matches and finished second in the Missouri Valley Conference a year ago.

Katie Hannemann scored 29 points to lead UIC to an 84-67 victory over the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's basketball team Thursday evening at the UIC Pavilion.

Jason Calliste scored 22 points and Detroit held off a valiant effort by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to claim an 82-74 win Thursday night at the Klotsche Center. The Panthers battled back from an early 16-point deficit to capture a three-point lead midway through the second half. Milwaukee then had a chance to tie the game in the final minute before Detroit (16-8, 8-3) salted away the victory with five free throws.

Maddy Soule became the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's all-time leader in doubles victories but the Panthers fell to crosstown rival Marquette 7-0 Sunday at the Helfaer Tennis Center. Soule teamed with Christina Colarossi for an 8-5 win in the top doubles slot, giving the senior 55 doubles wins in her two-plus seasons in Milwaukee. She and Colarossi have now teamed up for a 15-2 mark in doubles during the 2012-13 season alone. A week ago, Soule also became UWM's all-time leader in singles wins.
