UWM's Braun drawing up a game plan

Amanda Braun rushed across the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus to greet members of the women’s soccer team before their first road trip of the new season.

“They’re the reason why I’m here,” said Braun, herself a former student-athlete at Siena College in New York.

Improving the climate for student athletes is one of many priorities for Braun as UWM’s new athletic director.

Panthers Add To Roster As 2013-14 School Year Begins

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's basketball team has officially added a pair of Division I transfers to its roster as the 2013-14 school year begins this week. Malcolm Moore will join the Panthers after graduating from UTEP and will be eligible immediately for a single season of basketball. Meanwhile, Akeem Springs is coming to Milwaukee from Northern Illinois and will have three seasons of eligibility remaining after he sits out the coming year.
