The Cleveland State men's tennis team concluded the regular season Sunday afternoon, defeating Wright State 4-3. With the win, the Vikings will now enter the Horizon League Tournament as the No. 2 seed, and will begin play in the semifinals on Saturday, April 27.

The Cleveland State women's tennis team concluded the regular season Sunday afternoon, earning a 7-0 sweep over Wright State. The sweep, which is CSU's fourth of the season, improves the Vikings to 12-10 overall and 5-2 in Horizon League action.

Senior Jon Riemer shot a final round even-par 72 to help Cleveland State card a 297 and finish eighth of 18 teams at the Boilermaker Invitational that concluded on Sunday at the par 72, 7,465-yard Kampen Course and hosted by Purdue.

A late clutch hit by CSU senior Dara Toman picked up one win but fielding errors also doomed Cleveland State (16-20, 7-5 HL), as the Vikings split a doubleheader Sunday with the Loyola Ramblers in Horizon League action. Loyola took game one 3-0, with the Vikings turning around and winning game two 2-1.

Cleveland State shot rounds of 301 and 293 and is tied for seventh place after 36 holes on the Boilermaker Invitational that opened on Saturday.

Cleveland State senior Ariel Sparrow shot a 74 to claim the individual title at the Angola Invitational on Saturday at the par-71, 6,142-yard Glendarin Hills Golf Club.

The Cleveland State men's tennis team wrapped up the non-league portion of its schedule Saturday afternoon, defeating Butler, 5-2. CSU is now 9-11 on the season and will conclude league play tomorrow (Sunday, April 21) at Wright State.

The Cleveland State Vikings fell in a heartbreaker Saturday afternoon, dropping game one of a three game Horizon League weekend series to the Loyola Ramblers, 5-4 in ten innings. The loss drops CSU to 15-19 on the year and 6-4 in league play.

The Cleveland State women's tennis team hosted Walsh in its final home contest of the season Friday afternoon, defeating the Cavaliers 7-0 in their third sweep of the season. The Vikings are now 11-10 overall this year and have won four of their last five matches.

The Cleveland State Vikings continued their hot offensive performance Thursday, taking down the Detroit Titans 10-2 in five innings in Horizon league softball action. The win improved CSU to 15-18 on the year and 6-3 league play.
