2019 #HLWBB Championship Central
The 2018-19 #HLWBB regular season was another competitive one as the final seeds for #MotorCityMadness came down to the last day of the regular season. Wright State finished the regular season with a 16-2 record to clinch its first outright regular season title and earn the No. 1 overall seed for the tournament.

The championship started on campus with quarterfinal action as the top four seeds hosted games. WSU faced No. 8 Oakland, No. 2 Green Bay battled No. 7 Cleveland State, No. 3 Youngstown State welcomed No. 6 Milwaukee, and No. 4 IUPUI hosted No. 5 Northern Kentucky.

The first two quarterfinal games on Tuesday, March 5 saw the top-seeded Raiders dominate the Golden Grizzlies and the Jags defeat the Norse to move on to the semifinals at Little Caesars Arena.

The next day saw the final two quarterfinal matchups with the higher seeds both prevailing. Youngstown State outlasted the Panthers while Green Bay soundly defeated the Vikings as both teams moved on to play in Detroit.

With the championship shifting to Detroit and Little Caesars Arena for the semifinals, the top four seeds battled it out for a right to play in the championship game.

In the first semifinal game, No. 1 seed Wright State continued to cruise as the Raiders earned a victory over IUPUI to advance to their second-straight title game.

The second semifinal game was a tight battle as No. 2 Green Bay squeaked past YSU in a two-point contest to earn a spot in the championship game, seeking a fifth consecutive championship title for the Phoenix.

The championship game was yet another battle for the top two seeds. The Raiders outlasted the Phoenix, 55-52, to earn the title, led by 14 points from Emily Vogelpohl.

It marked the 2nd tournament championship for WSU and its first since 2014.
