INDIANAPOLIS – Week 6 of the #HLMBB season came to a close on Sunday with UIC claiming another win at home in dramatic fashion and Wright State picking up a road win.

Wright State bounced back from a tough performance on Friday with a five-point win on the road Sunday defeating IUPUI, 79-74. Four players finished in double figures for the Raiders led by Bill Wampler with 16 points and Cole Gentry and Mark Hughes each scored 13. IUPUI was led by Camron Justice with a game-high 22 points on four 3-pointers and Evan Hall added 14 points. WSU stays in second place in HL play with the win at 7-4, while IUPUI falls to 6-5.

UIC 69, Northern Kentucky 67
The Flames made it 2-for-2 this weekend at home with a thrilling 69-67 win over Northern Kentucky on Sunday as NKU suffered its second-straight loss and third during #HLMBB play. Jamie Ahale made a 3-pointer from the right corner with 2.5 seconds remaining to help the Flames earn the win and improve to 6-5 in League play and finish their four-game home stand 3-1. Tarkus Ferguson led the way for UIC with 19 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Tyler Sharpe scored 20 points for the Norse, while Drew McDonald put up 18 points and nine rebounds.

MOTOR CITY MADNESS
The 2019 Little Caesars Horizon League Basketball Championships will begin March 5-6 at highest seeds and will culminate with the semifinal and championship games on March 11-12 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. Tickets for the semifinals and championship are on-sale now. Once quarterfinal games conclude on March 5 and 6, fan section information for participating teams will be announced.
