INDIANAPOLIS – In the eighth week of #HLWBB play, IUPUI, Wright State, and Youngstown State went undefeated and the four #MotorCityMadness quarterfinal hosts were determined.

#HLWBB NEWS & NOTES
• Following the action in week eight, Wright State, Youngstown State, Green Bay, and IUPUI clinched top-four seeds and will host on-campus quarterfinal games. Wright State and IUPUI will host games on Tuesday, March 5, while Green Bay and Youngstown will host their quarterfinal matchups on Wednesday, March 6.

• In this week’s College Insider Women’s Mid-Major Top 25 poll, three #HLWBB teams are ranked, with one additional team receiving votes. Wright State is No. 12, Green Bay checks in at No. 21, and Youngstown State returns to the poll at No. 25, while IUPUI continued to receive votes.

• Two #HLWBB teams rank in the top 25 nationally in the category of fewest turnovers. Wright State has committed 322 turnovers this season, while Green Bay has totaled 323.

• Wright State ranks second nationally in total rebounds as the Raiders have corralled 1,157 rebounds this season.

• The seventh best scoring defense in the nation is Green Bay (54.0 points per game). Green Bay is also17th nationally in field goal percentage defense as the Phoenix are allowing opponents to shoot just 35.3 percent from the floor this season.

• IUPUI’s rebounding margin is 14th best nationally. The Jags are outrebounding opponents by 8.5 boards per game in 2018-19.

• Youngstown State is 16th in the NCAA this season in defensive rebounds per game. The Penguins are averaging 29 defensive rebounds per contest.

• UIC’s Jada Nneji ranks fifth in the NCAA in blocked shots per game (2.91).

• Milwaukee ranks 22nd nationally in blocked shots as the Panthers have totaled 122 blocks this season.

• YSU’s Alison Smolinski is fifth nationally with 89 three-point field goals made this season.
