INDIANAPOLIS – Youngstown State and Green Bay each earned #HLWBB victories in Sunday’s action. Following today’s results, Wright State, Youngstown State, Green Bay, and IUPUI have all clinched the right to host a Little Caesars Horizon League Women’s Basketball Quarterfinal on March 5 or 6.

Youngstown State 67, Milwaukee 47
Youngstown State earned its 20th win this season and improved to 12-3 in League play, defeating Milwaukee, 67-47, on Senior Day. Alison Smolinski led the Penguins in scoring, posting 21 points, making six three-point field goals. Mary Dunn added 14 points and Melinda Trimmer scored 10 points for YSU. Ryaen Johnson led the Panthers with seven points and 10 rebounds.

Green Bay 76, Cleveland State 63
Green Bay improved to 11-3 in #HLWBB play with a 76-63 road victory at Cleveland State on Sunday afternoon. Five Phoenix scored in double figures in the victory, led by 18 points from Carly Mohns and 16 points from Laken James. Four Vikings contributed double-digit scoring efforts, including Rachel Slaney who scored 17 points and Savanna Crockett who added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.

MOTOR CITY MADNESS
The 2019 Little Caesars Horizon League Basketball Championships will begin March 5-6 at highest seeds and will culminate with the semifinal and championship games on March 11-12 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. Tickets for the semifinals and championship are on-sale now. Once quarterfinal games conclude on March 5 and 6, fan section information for participating teams will be announced.
