INDIANAPOLIS – In week seven of #HLWBB play, Green Bay and IUPUI each earned two wins, while Oakland was unbeaten in its lone contest.
#HLWBB NEWS & NOTES
• Wright State checks in at No. 13 in this week’s College Insider Women’s Mid-Major Top 25, while Green Bay moved up to No. 17. Youngstown State and IUPUI each received votes in this week’s poll.
• Three players are averaging more than 15 points per game in #HLWBB play this season. YSU’s Mary Dunn leads the League with 15.8 points per game, followed by Cleveland State’s Mariah Miller (15.6), and IUPUI’s Macee Williams (15.2).
• Green Bay boasts the top scoring defense in League play as the Phoenix are allowing opponents to score just 51.6 points per game in 12 League contests so far this season.
• WSU’s Symone Simmons leads all players in League play with 9.9 rebounds per game. Northern Kentucky’s Kailey Coffey (9.5 rebounds per game) and UIC’s Jada Nneji (9.1) are also averaging more than nine boards per League contest.
• YSU is ranked as the top offense in League play, totaling 942 points in its first 13 League contests, an average of 72.5 points per game.
• Oakland’s Taylor Jones leads the League in #HLWBB play in assists, totaling 58 in 12 games, an average of 4.8 assists per game.
• Green Bay’s Jen Wellnitz leads all players in League play in both steals and assist-turnover ratio. The redshirt-senior guard averages 3.7 steals per game with an assist-turnover ratio of 1.9.
• Wright State is the top rebounding team in #HLWBB play. The Raiders are corralling 45.2 boards per game, including 15.5 offensive rebounds per contest.
