INDIANAPOLIS – Cleveland State junior Mariah Miller averaged 18.5 points and 8.5 rebounds for the Vikings this week. Miller is the #HLWBB Nike® Player of the Week. Oakland freshman Kahlaijah Dean scored 30 points in a win over Detroit Mercy on Saturday. Dean is the #HLWBB Nike® Freshman of the Week for the second week in a row.

Mariah Miller averaged 18.5 points and 8.5 rebounds on the week. The junior notched a double-double with a career-high 25 points and 12 rebounds in the win at UIC and followed that up with 12 points and five boards at IUPUI. Miller also recorded six assists, 1 blocked shot and 1 steal on the week. She currently ranks second in the #HLWBB averaging 16.0 point per game, and is one of just two league players to average 16.0+ points this season.

Dean scored a career-high 30 points on 10-of-15 shooting hitting a career-mark 9-of-12 from 3-point range just missing the school game record of 10 with seven rebounds and two steals leading Oakland to a 76-65 Metro Series win at arch-rival Detroit Mercy for the team's first road win of the season and also snapping a seven-game skid. Her 30-point effort was the highest women’s basketball performance since Bethany Watterworth scored 32 at American on Nov. 15, 2011.
