INDIANAPOLIS – On Saturday, eight #HLWBB teams were in action with Wright State and Youngstown State improving to 4-0 in League play while Green Bay and Cleveland State also picked up wins.

Youngstown State 70, IUPUI 52
Youngstown State improved to 4-0 in League play with a 70-52 home victory over IUPUI. Alison Smolinski led the Penguins with 22 points, including breaking the YSU career three-pointers record, while Mary Dunn added 17 points and seven rebounds. Holly Hoopingarner and Macee Williams scored nine points each for the Jags.

Cleveland State 71, UIC 53
Cleveland State is now 3-1 in the #HLWBB standings after topping UIC 71-53 in the Wolstein Center. Four different players were in double figures for the Vikings, led by 25 points from Jade Ely and 15 points and 15 rebounds from Mariah Miller. UIC’s Jada Nneji posted a very strong performance for the Flames, nearing a triple-double with 18 points, 13 rebounds, and nine blocks.

Wright State 61, Milwaukee 57
Wright State is now 4-0 in Horizon League play after taking down Milwaukee 61-57 at home on Saturday. Mackenzie Taylor led the Raiders with 14 points while Angel Baker added 13 points. Freshman Megan Walstead led the Panthers with 15 points and Ryaen Johnson added a double-double with eleven points and eleven rebounds.

Green Bay 81, Northern Kentucky 61
Green Bay picked up its second #HLWBB win of the season on Saturday with an 81-61 win at Northern Kentucky. Jen Wellnitz scored 21 points, Laken James added 18 more, and two others were in double-figures in the victory for the Phoenix. NKU was paced by a 21-point performance from Ally Niece.

MOTOR CITY MADNESS
The 2019 Little Caesars Horizon League Basketball Championships will begin March 5-6 and will culminate with the semifinal and championship games on March 11-12 at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena. The 2019 men’s and women’s championship games will take place on Tuesday, March 12 with the men playing at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN or ESPN2 and the women starting at noon ET on ESPNU. Tickets for the semifinals and championship go on-sale on February 1. Once quarterfinal games conclude on March 5 and 6, fan section information for participating teams will be announced.
