INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI sophomore Macee Williams led the Jags to a 2-0 week, averaging 20.5 points and 7.5 rebounds while shooting 78.9 percent from the field. Williams is the #HLWBB Nike® Player of the Week for the third time this season. Milwaukee freshman Megan Walstad averaged 16.0 points per game and six rebounds per game in the Panthers’ two wins this week. Walstad is the #HLWBB Nike® Freshman of the Week for the second time this season.

Williams was extremely efficient on route to averaging 20.5 points per game and 7.5 rebounds as the Jags beat Detroit Mercy and Oakland. For the week, Williams shot .789 (15-for-19) from the field and was 11-for-12 (.917) from the free throw line. In just 20 minutes against the Titans, Williams scored 19 points, including 17 first half points, on 8-for-9 shooting and pulled down seven rebounds. Williams followed up that performance with a 22-point effort against Oakland in just 24 minutes of play. Williams hit 7-of-10 shots and was a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line while pulling down eight rebounds. Williams’ 22 points was the eighth time this season the sophomore has scored at least 20 points this season.

Walstad had a big hand in Milwaukee's 2-0 weekend. The freshman recorded the first double-double of her young career with 20 points and 10 rebounds - both career highs - to go with three assists and two steals in helping Milwaukee hand Youngstown State its first league loss of the year. Walstad followed that up with another 12 points - half coming in the final quarter - in a grind-it-out win over Cleveland State.
