IUPUI 82, Detroit Mercy 47
IUPUI improved to 3-2 in League play with an 82-47 home win over Detroit Mercy in a Friday matinee. Macee Williams paced the Jags with 19 points, adding seven rebounds while Katelyn O’Reilly and Holly Hoopingarner each posted 14 points in the victory. Zoey Oatis was the leading scorer for the Titans with eleven.
UIC 69, Oakland 65
UIC earned its first #HLWBB victory on Friday night, topping Oakland 69-65 in overtime in Chicago. Kiarra Thompson led the Flames with 17 points, while Brittany Byrd added 16, and Jada Nneji posted a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Oakland was led by a 21-point, 18-rebound performance from Taylor Jones.

MOTOR CITY MADNESS
The 2019 Little Caesars Horizon League Basketball Championships will begin March 5-6 and will culminate with the semifinal and championship games on March 11-12 at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena. The 2019 men’s and women’s championship games will take place on Tuesday, March 12 with the men playing at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN or ESPN2 and the women starting at noon ET on ESPNU. Tickets for the semifinals and championship go on-sale on February 1. Once quarterfinal games conclude on March 5 and 6, fan section information for participating teams will be announced.
State-of-the-art Little Caesars Arena, winner of the 2018 SBJ Facility of the Year, is located in The District Detroit — a vibrant area full of restaurants, bars, parks, and other destinations.
