Seven #HLMBB Players Named to NABC Honors Court

The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the 2017-18 NABC Honors Court on Tuesday. The award recognizes men’s collegiate basketball student-athletes for their performance in the classroom. Seven players from three Horizon League programs were among the honorees.

Wright State led the Horizon League with three honorees, Adam Giles, Alan Vest, and Billy Wampler. NKU’s Drew McDonald and Nick Ayers and IUPUI’s Aaron Brennan and D.J. McCall also earned recognition on this year’s NABC Honors Court.

To qualify, student-athletes had to meet the following four qualifications:
  1. Be academically a junior or senior and a varsity player.
  2. Possess a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2017-18 academic year.
  3. Have matriculated at least one year at the current institution.
  4. Be a member of a NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II institution with a NABC member coach.
