(Feb. 8, 2018) — The home teams went 4-0 on Thursday, with third-place UIC scoring a season-high 100 points in a convincing win on an otherwise tightly-contested night of Horizon League men’s hoops. The remaining three games were decided by an average margin of 3.67 points. Wright State and Northern Kentucky each successfully defended their home courts, besting Green Bay and Milwaukee, respectively, to remain in a first-place tie atop the conference standings at 11-2. Meanwhile, IUPUI held off a late Cleveland State rally to earn its fifth league victory.

Henderson, Brennan lead Jags past Cleveland State, 78-73

Henderson matched his career-high with 19 points and senior Aaron Brennan tossed in 17 as the Jaguars fended off pesky Cleveland State, 78-73, inside Indiana Farmers Coliseum on Thursday night (Feb. 8). IUPUI surged out to a 20-point lead near the midpoint of the second half and held on down the stretch to snap a five-game skid.

Wright State takes down Green Bay

Strong defense helps @NKUNorseMBB defeat Milwaukee, 54-52
(Courtesy of NKUNorse.com) — HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. — A strong defensive effort helped the Northern Kentucky University men's basketball team defeat Milwaukee on Thursday evening by a final score of 54-52. The Norse improve to 18-7 overall and 11-2 in the Horizon League. Milwaukee falls to 13-14 on the season and 6-8 in League play.

Flames hit century mark, win seventh straight
(Courtesy of UICFlames.com) — CHICAGO — The red hot UIC Flames (15-11, 10-3 HL) scorched the nets and the Youngstown State Penguins, 100-75 at UIC Pavilion Thursday evening.  By shooting over 52%, and 58% in the second half, the Flames won their seventh straight game and 10th of their last 11.  It's the program's longest winning streak since 2012, when the squad also won seven in a row.
