(Feb. 4, 2018) — Redshirt seniors Kendrick Nunn and Jalen Hayes paced Oakland with 25 and 21 points, respectively, on Sunday to lead the Golden Grizzlies to an 82-74 home win versus IUPUI. Meanwhile, sophomore Dikembe Dixson scored a team-high 23 points for UIC as the third-place Flames clinched their sixth-consecutive victory with a 78-69 win at Detroit Mercy.

(Courtesy of GoldenGrizzlies.com) — ROCHESTER, Mich. — Kendrick Nunn scored 25 points on nine of 16 shooting as the Oakland men's basketball team defeated IUPUI 82-74 Sunday afternoon at the O'rena. Jalen Hayes scored 21 points on nine of 12 shooting from the floor while also recording four rebounds, three steals, two blocks and two assists. Freshmen Stan Scott earned his first career start and scored seven points, while recording eight rebounds, five assists and two blocks.

UIC grinds out sixth-straight triumph at Detroit Mercy

(Courtesy of UICFlames.com) — DETROIT — UIC overcame a sluggish start to collect its sixth consecutive win, and the sixth in a row away from home, as it blitzed the Detroit Mercy Titans, 78-69. The Flames, after falling behind 7-0, shot 61.5 percent in the first half, while the offense sputtered in the second half, shooting 32.4 percent, UIC held the Titans to nine field goals and a mark of 27.3 percent from the field over the final 20 minutes.
