(Feb. 24, 2018) — Green Bay, Oakland, and Cleveland State earned victories on Saturday night — the second-to-last night of #HLMBB regular-season play. Sandy Cohen III and Khalil Small combined to score 57 points for Green Bay as the Phoenix upended Detroit Mercy, 107-97. Two nights after scoring a career-high 39 points, Oakland’s Kendrick Nunn recorded his 11th 30-plus-point outing, tallying 37 points to help Oakland come from behind to beat Milwaukee, 72-70. Cleveland State, aided by Bobby Word’s seven 3-pointers, outlasted intrastate rival Youngstown State, 99-94 in two overtimes.
 
Green Bay Stays Hot From Beyond the Arc, Pours in 107 Points in Win at Detroit Mercy
(Courtesy of GreenBayPhoenix.com) — DETROIT — Continuing its hot shooting from beyond the arc and putting in another total team effort, Green Bay scored its most points against a Division I opponent this season, shooting past Detroit Mercy 107-97 at Calihan Hall in its regular season finale. The Phoenix (12-19, 7-11 HL) buried 14 3-pointers, two days after setting the program record with 15 at Oakland, and received three 20-plus point scoring efforts from a trio of players.

SENIORS LEAD OAKLAND TO 72-70 WIN OVER MILWAUKEE
(Courtesy of GoldenGrizzlies.com) — ROCHESTER, Mich. — Nick Daniels scored 13 points, dished out 10 assists and grabbed a team high eight rebounds as the Oakland men's basketball team defeated Milwaukee in a 72-70 thriller on senior day. Daniels has now scored in double figures in six of his last seven games, and Oakland is 11-2 when he  scores in double figures this season. Kendrick Nunn scored a game high 37 points, netting seven threes and grabbing four rebounds and dishing out four assists. Nunn recorded his 11th 30-point game of the season, which leads the NCAA.

Five Score in Double Figures as Vikings Win at Youngstown State, 99-94, in Double OT
(Courtesy of CSUVikings.com) — YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Cleveland State rallied late to force overtime and survived a pair of game-winning shot attempts by Youngstown State and defeated the Penguins, 99-94, in double overtime in the regular season finale on Saturday night at the Beeghly Center. The Vikings improved to 9-22 overall and 6-12 in the Horizon League, while the Penguins fell to 8-23 overall and 6-12 in the League.
