(Feb. 10, 2018) — Milwaukee upset first-place Wright State, 74-73, in Dayton on Saturday night, while Cleveland State ended third-place UIC’s seven-game winning streak as the Vikings earned an 86-78 road win. Meanwhile, Youngstown State bested IUPUI, 84-80, and Northern Kentucky downed Green Bay, 86-80, to clinch its fifth-consecutive victory. With the win and Wright State’s loss, the Norse took sole possession of first place in the league standings at 12-2.

INDIANAPOLIS — Senior Cameron Morse scored a game-high 28 points and the Youngstown State men's basketball team held off a late IUPUI surge to hang on for an 84-80 victory at Indiana Farmers Coliseum on Saturday. The Penguins improve to 7-20 overall and 5-9 in the Horizon League while the Jaguars fall to 8-16 and 5-9 in the league.

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. — The Northern Kentucky University men's basketball team defeated Green Bay on Saturday evening by a final score of 86-80 for its fifth-straight win. The Norse move to 19-7 overall and 12-2 in the Horizon League. Green Bay falls to 10-18 on the season and 5-10 in league play. Combined with Wright State's loss to Milwaukee, the Norse are now in sole possession of first place in the Horizon League.

Appleby Sets Career Highs in Points and Assists as Vikings Win at UIC, 86-78

CHICAGO — Tyree Appleby set career-highs in points and assists and Cleveland State made 12 three-pointers en route to an 86-78 victory at UIC on Saturday night in Horizon League action. The Vikings improved to 7-20 overall and 4-10 in the Horizon League, while also picking up their first road victory of the season. UIC, which entered the game in second place in the League, fell to 15-12 overall and 10-4 in the League. The Vikings snapped UIC's seven game win streak as the Flames had also won 10 of their last 11 games entering tonight.
