Green Bay captured a win in its League opener as it pulled away down the stretch on Saturday night at in-state rival Milwaukee, 92-82. GB had a great performance by Sandy Cohen III with 28 points, going 11-of-12 from the free throw line, and also JayQuan McCloud added 15 points. MKE was led by Darius Roy with 25 points as five Milwaukee players scored in double figures. The Phoenix have now won six of the last seven contests against the Panthers and head coach Linc Darner improves to 4-0 to HL openers.

MOTOR CITY MADNESS
The 2019 Little Caesars Horizon League Basketball Championships will begin March 5-6 and will culminate with the semifinal and championship games on March 11-12 at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena. The 2019 men’s and women’s championship games will take place on Tuesday, March 12 with the men playing at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN or ESPN2 and the women starting at noon ET on ESPNU. Tickets for the semifinals and championship go on-sale on February 1. Once quarterfinal games conclude on March 5 and 6, fan section information for participating teams will be announced.
