INDIANAPOLIS – Green Bay’s Frankie Wurtz led the Phoenix to a road win at No. 16 Missouri, snapping the Tigers’ 54-game nonconference home win streak. Wurtz is the #HLWBB Nike® Player of the Week. Milwaukee’s Megan Walstad totaled 18 points in a victory over Columbia to earn #HLWBB Nike® Freshman of the Week honors.

Wurtz led the Phoenix to a win over No. 16 Missouri on Friday night at Mizzou Arena, the program’s highest ranking win over a ranked opponent on the road. The redshirt junior scored 16 points in the matchup and shined at the line with a perfect 7-for-7 performance to help ice the game for Green Bay. The victory snapped the Tigers’ 54-game nonconference home win streak and was the program’s 10th over a ranked opponent and No. 16 Missouri was the highest ranked team defeated by the Phoenix since 2011 when Green Bay took down No. 12 Michigan State to advance to the Sweet 16.

Walstad came off the bench for the first time in her young career and powered Milwaukee to its first win on the season against Columbia on Friday. The freshman racked up a game-high 18 points in just 21 minutes, shooing an impressive 6-10 from the floor - including 3-4 from behind the arc. Walstad also hauled in five rebounds and had one block in the home win over Columbia.
