(Jan. 28, 2018) — Carson Williams and Drew McDonald scored 13 and 12 points, respectively, as second-place Northern Kentucky (8-2 HL) outshot Detroit Mercy, 46 percent to 28 percent, in a 72-44 win on Sunday. League-leading Wright State successfully defended its home court versus Oakland, 64-51. Loudon Love matched Oakland’s Kendrick Nunn with a game-high 18 points and tied a career high with 17 rebounds as the Raiders improved to 9-1 in league play.

With the win, NKU moves to 15-7 overall and 8-2 in the Horizon League. Detroit Mercy falls to 6-17 on the season and 2-8 in League play.

WSU freshmen lead Raiders to win over Grizzlies
(Courtesy of WSURaiders.com) — DAYTON, Ohio — Three freshmen led the way as the Wright State men's basketball team completed the season sweep of the preseason Horizon League favorite Oakland with a 64-51 win Sunday afternoon at the WSU Nutter Center. Loudon Love collected his ninth double-double with 18 points and 17 rebounds, tying his career high for rebounds set at Oakland on January 7. Jaylon Hall had 15 points, a career-best six rebounds, three assists and one steal while Everett Winchester finished with seven points, four boards and two assists. Wright State is now 17-6 and 9-1 while Oakland drops to 14-9 and 6-4.
