Titans Drop Contest at Western Michigan, 74-62
KALAMAZOO, MICH. (DetroitTitans.com) – Senior forward Brianne Cohen posted her fifth 20-point game of the season Friday night, but the University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team dropped a 74-62 contest at Western Michigan from University Arena.
 
Cohen scored a team-high 21 points on just nine shots, sinking 7-of-9 attempts from the floor. Senior Nicole Urbanick added 11 points for the Titans, while classmate Cortney Williams had a career-best seven rebounds.

Furious Comeback Propels Flames Past Eagles, 73-70
CHICAGO (UICFlames.com) – UIC scored 31 points in the fourth quarter to charge from behind and take down the visiting Eastern Michigan Eagles, 73-70, at the UIC Pavilion on Friday night.
 
The Flames (5-3) buried 12 3-pointers in the ballgame, including four in the pivotal fourth period. Tia Tedford was particularly instrumental off the bench, providing 11 points on 3-of-4 shooting from beyond the arc. Taylor Toney tallied 18 points and a game-high six assists for UIC.
