INDIANAPOLIS- IUPUI’s Danielle Lawrence led the Jaguars to a 2-0 week on the road at Memphis and Ohio in which the senior scored a career-high 38 points against the Tigers. Lawrence is the Horizon League Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. Green Bay’s Karly Murphy earned her first career double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds against top 25-ranked Marquette and claims Freshman of the Week honors this week.

Lawrence scored a career-high 38 points in IUPUI's 80-57 win at Memphis and followed that up with 23 points in the Jags' 76-52 win at Ohio. The 38-point outburst is the highest point total in the Horizon League this season, the fifth most in the NCAA and is the eighth highest point-total in IUPUI school history. Lawrence averaged 30 minutes on the court in the two games and averaged 30.5 points. Overall she shot 55 percent from the field and in the Memphis win, was 12-for-21 (57 percent) including going 6-for-10 from the three-point line and 8-for-9 from the free throw line. The senior also averaged 5.5 rebounds per game including a season-high seven rebounds against Ohio. Her three offensive rebounds in each game were also season-highs.

Karly Murphy enjoyed a career afternoon this past weekend when Green Bay welcomed No. 23 Marquette to the Kress Center. The redshirt freshman notched her first career double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds, a new career best, in 32 minutes. The Phoenix defense held the Golden Eagles to a new season low in points by nearly 30.
