(Dec. 20, 2017) — Three Oakland players scored 20 or more points on Wednesday night as the Golden Grizzlies earned a quality, 97-86 win over Towson, which entered the contest riding a 10-game winning streak and ranked No. 4 in the College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 and No. 36 in the NCAA RPI rankings. Despite Towson possessing the nation’s fourth-ranked 3-point field goal defense (.265) and the 11
th-best field-goal percentage defense (.369), Oakland shot 54 percent from the field and 46 percent from beyond the arc in the victory. Kendrick Nunn notched his third 30-point outing of the year by pouring in a game-high 31 points. Jalen Hayes tallied his sixth double-double with a 25-point, 10-rebound effort, while Martez Walker added 20 points.

ROCHESTER, Mich. — Kendrick Nunn scored 31 points, making a career high seven three-pointers while Jalen Hayesrecorded his Horizon League-leading sixth double-double of the season with 25 points and 10 rebounds as the Oakland men's basketball team took down Towson 97-86 Wednesday night at the O'rena. The Golden Grizzlies snapped the Tigers' 10 game winning streak and are now 5-0 at home this season. Martez Walker scored 20 points and dished out four assists as Oakland had three players score 20 points or more for the second time this season.

Youngstown State falls at Utah State, 91-74
LOGAN, Utah — Youngstown State suffered a 91-74 setback to Utah State as the Penguins concluded their Rocky Mountain road trip. Cameron Morse led YSU with 23 points; however, the Penguins' allowed Utah State to shoot 60 percent from the field. The Aggies' DeAngelo Isby scored a game-best 26 points on 9-of-13 shooting.
