INDIANAPOLIS — Green Bay and Wright State each earned victories on Friday as six Horizon League men’s basketball teams were in action. Central Connecticut State edged host Cleveland State, 74-73, while Oakland and Milwaukee lost on the road to No. 3 Kansas and Wisconsin, respectively. Competing in the Sanford Pentagon Showcase in Sioux Falls, S.D., Youngstown State lost to Northern Colorado, 80-67. Four #HLMBB teams will be in action on Saturday — Detroit Mercy, Wright State, Youngstown State, and Northern Kentucky.

Second half rally falls just short in 74-73 loss to Central Connecticut State

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Dontel Highsmith scored 17 points and Bobby Word had 15 points, but Cleveland State's second half comeback fell just short in a 74-73 setback to Central Connecticut on Friday night in the Wolstein Center. CSU fell to 1-4, while CCSU improved to 3-3.

Green Bay grinds out 57-50 home victory over Florida A&M

GREEN BAY, Wis. --- The Green Bay men's basketball team used its defense to pick up its second victory of the season on Friday night, grinding out a tough 57-50 win over Florida A&M at the Resch Center. The Phoenix (2-2) made only 14 field goals, but shot 24-for-29 from the free throw line and held the Rattlers (1-6) to just 1-for-14 from 3-point range.

LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Kendrick Nunn scored 23 points, shooting 10 of 21 from the field and grabbed five rebounds as the Oakland men's basketball team fell to No. 3 Kansas 102-59 Friday night at Allen Fieldhouse.
Jalen Hayes made his return to the Golden Grizzlies (2-3) and scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds, while shooting six-for-13 from the floor.
