INDIANAPOLIS -- Turning in a shutout to lead Wright State to a first round bye in the Horizon League Tournament, Wright State freshman goalkeeper Craig Feehan (Pittsburgh, Pa.) has been named Horizon League Men’s Soccer Player of the Week, for the week of Oct. 31-Nov. 6. The accolade is the first of Feehan’s career.

MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- The No. 15 Milwaukee Panthers wrapped up a perfect run through Horizon League play, overcoming an early deficit to collect a 5-1 win over Wright State in the League Women's Soccer Championship.

UIC earned a spot in the Horizon League Men's Soccer Championship, while Loyola hung on to the final spot in the field on a frantic Saturday night. Both teams will be on the road on Tuesday, when the 2011 edition of the men's soccer tournament get underway.

Two wins separate one of four Horizon League teams from a berth in the NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament. Starting on Friday afternoon, Wright State, Detroit, Butler and Milwaukee will all be battling to reach Sunday's League Championship, where just a solid 90 minutes (or longer) would stand between the continuation of the season. All three matches at Engelmann Stadium will be carried live on the Horizon League Network.

In one instance, the match was decided with just second remaining on the clock. In the other, there was not enough time to decide the result and penalty kicks were needed. When the dust cleared, No. 5 Wright State and sixth-seeded Butler had advanced to the semifinals of the Horizon League Women's Soccer Tournament.
