INDIANAPOLIS – Cleveland State and Detroit took road victories on Tuesday night, while Wright State, Loyola and Green Bay came up short.

Loyola sophomore Sam Penzenstadler and senior Gina Valgoi have been named the Horizon League Runners of the Week for the period of Sept. 10-16 after each earned medalist honors at the Illinois Intercollegiate Championships on Friday in Normal, Ill.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Cleveland State freshman forward Vickie Havas (Stow, Ohio) is the Horizon League Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Loyola sophomore goalkeeper Monica Gonyo (New Berlin, Wis.) has earned Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 10-16. The award is the first of both players’ careers.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Loyola senior forward Ana Claudia Michelini (Ames, Iowa) is the Horizon League Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Valparaiso junior goalkeeper Kristen Manski (Saint Charles, Ill.) has earned Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 3-9. The award is the first of both players’ careers.

INDIANAPOLIS – Horizon League women’s soccer teams went a combined 4-1-2 on Sunday, with Wright State, Valparaiso, Green Bay and Loyola all claiming victories on the afternoon.
