Director of New Media and Technology

Nate Flannery was promoted to Director of New Media and Technology at the Horizon League in July 2008, following one year as Coordinator of New Media and Technology. He previously spent two years as Assistant Director of Communications.

In his current capacity, Flannery is in charge of all facets of the Horizon League Network (HLN), the conference's comprehensive video streaming venture. His duties include coordinating live event webcasts, managing on-demand content, marketing/promoting the network, overseeing the HLN website and generating revenue through the platform.

Flannery previously was the media relations assistant for the Indianapolis Indians Triple-A baseball club from May 2004 to September 2005, where he was the editor and designer for the team's 2005 media guide; wrote feature stories for team newsletters and game programs; and was responsible for daily web site updates, team press releases and press box operations.

Flannery also served as a high school sports reporter for ESPN 950 (WXLW-AM) sports radio in Indianapolis from Sept.-Dec. 2004 and worked as a part-time producer for the station again in 2005.

A native of Valparaiso, Ind., Flannery earned a bachelor of arts degree in history from Indiana University in 2004.

He and his wife Chantelle reside in Indianapolis.
