Wright State baseball coach Rob Cooper appeared last Wednesday on *Oprah's Lifeclass* on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).
Cooper discussed having his baseball players read a book, *The Last Lecture*by Randy Pausch, in the off season to help drive them to become more than
baseball players. The book tells Pausch's personal story, a college professor at Carnegie-Mellon, as he approached his final lecture as an educator.
"It was a great honor to have the chance to discuss Randy Pausch and his book with the people at Harpo Studios in Chicago," Cooper said. "I hope others take the opportunity to read this book."
Cooper, in his eighth season at Wright State next spring, had his team read this book as they prepared for the 2009 season in which they won the Horizon League and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. His Raiders have played in three NCAA Tournaments in seven seasons.
