INDIANAPOLIS -- University of Wisconsin-Green Bay senior Holly Visser has been named Horizon League Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week, while Loyola University Chicago sophomore Natalie Pounovich has earned Defensive Player-of-the-Week honors for the period of Oct. 26-Nov. 1.

Visser, an outside hitter from Waupun, Wis., earns the accolade for the first time in her career after leading the League in kills per set (5.00) and ranking fourth in hitting percentage (.381) last week.

Visser helped Green Bay post a 3-1 win over Youngstown State University on Friday. She recorded 20 kills and 17 digs for the Phoenix en route to her 11th double-double of the campaign.

Pounovich, a middle blocker from Hickory Hills, Ill., also earns the award for the first time in her career after leading the League in blocks per set (2.11) last week.

Pounovich helped Loyola split a pair of conference matches. The Ramblers suffered a four-set defeat at the hands of Cleveland State University on Friday, but bounced back to register a five-set victory over Wright State University on Saturday. Pounovich collected a career-best 11 blocks against CSU.

Green Bay (9-16, 4-8) and Loyola (11-15, 4-9) return to the hardwood on Friday. The Phoenix hosts Cleveland State at 8 p.m. ET, while the Ramblers visit Butler at 7 p.m.

Both student-athletes will become eligible for the Horizon League Network's "People's Choice" award, which is announced each Thursday afternoon. Log on to www.HorizonLeagueNetwork.tv to vote.
