INDIANAPOLIS -- Valparaiso, making its first appearance in the NCAA Men's Tennis Tournament as a member of the Horizon League, will face No. 14 Northwestern in the first round of the tournament, it was announced on Tuesday.

Valparaiso went 20-5 in the spring season, including an unbeaten run through the Horizon League in both the regular season and tournament.

The Crusaders are led by two-time Horizon League Player of the Year Jeffrey Schorsch. Schorsch and doubles partner Charlie Emhardt were ranked in the ITA top 90 throughout the spring season.

The first round of the NCAA Tournament will begin on Friday, May 13, with the championships concluding in Tulsa, Okla., on May 24.
