Nick Strack recorded a season-high four shots with three on goal from his defensive position as the Oakland men's soccer team (6-8-1) dropped a 2-0 decision at Michigan State (8-6-2) on Wednesday at the DeMartin Soccer Complex. Norse battle Jaguars to 2-2 (2OT) draw
The Northern Kentucky University men's soccer team (8-4-4) battled IUPUI (1-8-6) to a 2-2 draw on Wednesday at the NKU Soccer Stadium.
The Jaguars struck first in the opening frame when Emmanuel Usen found the net in the 32nd minute with an assist by Jared O'Dell. O'Dell played the ball to Usen to the top of the box, Usen then finished to the bottom right corner to give IUPUI the 1-0 lead. Read more
Flames Earn Seventh Shutout with 1-0 Victory at Valpo
Nestor Garcia's first collegiate goal scored in the eighth minute was all the UIC men's soccer team (8-4-3, 5-0-2 HL) needed as it went on to defeat Valparaiso (6-5-5, 2-2-3 HL), 1-0, for its seventh shutout of the season Wednesday night at Brown Field. Jorge Alvarez assisted on the game-winner for his fourth helper of the year. Read more
Crusaders Fall at Home To UIC
The Valparaiso University men’s soccer team hosted Horizon League foe UIC on Wednesday night at Brown Field, battling throughout, but eventually falling 1-0.
“It was a difficult result for us to take tonight because I am not sure it was what we deserved, but you have to first give credit to UIC,” said Crusader head coach Mike Avery. “They are a very good team and have had a great season. We are in a position where we really have to dig in our heels and fight. I love this team, though, and I am 100% confident that you will see a committed group that will fight to the bitter end.” Read more
