INDIANAPOLIS - The Horizon League Men's and Women's Championships began on Friday and were moved indoors due to inclement weather. At the conclusion of the first round for the men, No. 3 Wright State edged No. 6 Detroit, 4-1, and No. 4 Butler knocked off No. 5 Green Bay, 4-1. The Raiders will face No. 2 UIC tomorrow morning, while the Bulldogs will take on top-seeded Cleveland State. Both matches will start at 10:30 a.m. ET.
On the women's side, No. 3 Detroit defeated No. 6 Green Bay, 4-0, and No. 4 Butler beat No. 5 Youngstown State, 4-1. The Titans will take on No. 2 Cleveland State tomorrow afternoon, while the Bulldogs will face top-seeded UIC. Both matches will start at 2:30 p.m. ET.
The consolation matches will not be played tomorrow morning due to the rain.
