Valparaiso won its seventh straight game to improve to 8-1 in Horizon League play. The league-leading Crusaders got 21 points from Shane Hammink and a double-double from Alec Peters (16 points, 12 rebounds) to help hold off Northern Kentucky. Wright State got 17 second-half points from Mark Alstork as the Raiders rallied past UIC to move to 6-4 in league play. Jalen Hayes went for 22 points and 11 rebounds as Oakland slid past Milwaukee in overtime. Detroit Mercy’s Jaleel Hogan scored 28 points and a DeShawndre Black 3-point play with 12 seconds remaining pushed the Titans past Green Bay, 93-92.

at Valparaiso 65, Northern Kentucky 58*
VALPARAISO, Ind. (AP) -- Shane Hammink scored 21 points and Alec Peters added 16 points and 12 rebounds, and Valparaiso beat Northern Kentucky 65-58 on Sunday for its seventh straight win.

Hammink was 7 of 13 from the floor and made three 3-pointers. Peters shot just 4 of 15 from the field but made 6 of 7 free throws. Tevonn Walker grabbed 11 rebounds for Valparaiso (18-4, 8-1 Horizon League), which outrebound the Norse 44-29.

Lavone Holland II scored 13 points to lead Northern Kentucky (14-9, 5-5).

Wright State 88, at UIC 86*
CHICAGO (AP) -- Mark Alstork had 17 of his 24 points in the second half and Wright State defeated UIC 88-86 on Sunday. Alstork made two free throws with 29.4 seconds left to put the Raiders up 87-82. Dominique Matthews hit a 3-pointer for the Flames at 18.8 seconds before Justin Mitchell missed a pair of free throws.

Tarkus Ferguson couldn't convert a short shot in congestion in the lane with 8.3 seconds left and Mitchell was fouled. He made one with seven seconds remaining before the Raiders fouled Michael Kolawole at 2.9. Kolawole made the first free throw for a career-high 17 points and missed the second intentionally but the Flames couldn't get the loose ball as time ran out.

at Oakland 79, Milwaukee 70 (OT)*
ROCHESTER, Mich. (AP) -- Jalen Hayes scored 22 and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Martez Walker made a key 3-pointer in overtime to lead Oakland to a 79-70 victory over Milwaukee on Sunday.
Walker's 3 capped a 5-0 spurt to give the Golden Grizzlies a 69-64 lead, and Oakland outscored

Milwaukee 15-6 in the extra period. Brailen Neely shot 6 of 6 from the line, and Sherron Dorsey-Walker made four free throws and a layup in overtime. Dorsey-Walker finished with 15 points. Walker had 13 points and Neely finished with 10 for Oakland (16-7, 6-4 Horizon League).

at Detroit Mercy 93, Green Bay 92*
DETROIT (AP) -- DeShawndre Black's 3-point play with 12 seconds left gave Detroit Mercy a 93-92 victory over Green Bay on Sunday.

Green Bay's Tevin Findlay missed a pair of free throws before Black was fouled on a twisting drive through the paint, scoring with his left hand then making the winning free throw. The Phoenix missed a shot in a crowded key as time ran out.

Green Bay had led since early in the first half and was up 81-71 with 8:40 left before the Titans went on a 16-7 run to get within one, capped by a 3-pointer by Corey Allen with 3:16 to go. Green Bay scored the next two baskets but Josh McFolley hit two free throws and Allen one to set up Black's winning play.
