Duke's Juliet Bottorf won with a time of 16:43.8 and was one of just two competitors to go under 17 minutes.

Through the first month-plus of the campaign, Hamilton ranks in the top 20 in NCAA Division I in the 5K.

The men placed 16th out of 23 teams in the Golf Race with 411 points. Rupe led the way placing 35th in a time of 26.24.5 out of 190-plus runners.

The Milwaukee cross country teams are back at it again Saturday, Oct. 12 as they head to the Lucian Rosa Invitational in Somers, Wis. The meet will be held on the campus of UW-Parkside for a traditional 5k/8k run. The men's race is set to start at 10 a.m., with the women set for an 11 a.m. gun.

While this is the 27th running of the Lucian Rosa Invitational, this marks the first time the Panthers will compete at the long-running meet. Lucian Rosa is a UW-Parkside Hall of Famer who is a two-time Olympian (1972, 1976). He also coached the Rangers from 1977-2007.

Twenty nine teams are set to be in attendance on Saturday, including DePaul, Marquette, Northwestern and UIC. A host of other D-II and D-III schools will also be on hand, most of which are either ranked regionally or nationally.

In the Panther's last meet on Oct. 5 at the Greater Louisville Classic, nearly every runner made significant strides against some very tough competition. Ten individuals shaved chunks of time off their finishes from the same course one year ago, highlighted by senior Adriana Gutierrez knocking off nearly two and a half minutes from her time last year.

The UIC cross country teams travel to Kenosha, Wis. to participate in the Lucian Rosa Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 12.

Last season at the UW-Lucian Rosa Invite, the women's squad placed fourth among 18 teams.  Leading the pack were, Emma Preston (18:28.5), Rebecca Zaiter (18:52.7), Lauren Lindholm (18:53.7) and Tess Ehrhardt (19:18.0) who all finished within the top 100 runners.

Ehrhardt, has held the Horizon League Runner of the Week title for two consecutive weeks and looks to pilot her team during the 5K race this weekend.

The women's collegiate race is set for an 11:00 a.m. start on Saturday, Oct. 12.

In the past two 6K races, the Vikings have finished third and eighth as a team, while they have been paced individually by the duo of Tori Holt and Ashlyn Woods. Holt posted CSU's top 6K time of the season at the Friendship Invitational (23:27) – with the mark also ranking fifth on Cleveland State's Top Performances list.
