Half of the men's decathlon and women's heptathlon were contested on Friday morning at the 2010 Horizon League Track & Field Championships at Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill.
On the men's side, Milwaukee freshman Dan Simon took first in four of the five events totaling 3,450 points.
On the women's side, Milwaukee senior Jenni Parish is leading with 2,903 points.
Friday night's events were postponed due to lightning. The men's and women's 10,000 meter is scheduled to start after the steeplechase on Saturday.
Saturday's competition will begin with the decathlon at 9:30 a.m. CT.
