INDIANAPOLIS - Milwaukee junior forward Anthony Hill has been named the Horizon League Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 28.

A native of Milwaukee, Hill averaged 20.5 points and 6.5 rebounds to pace the Panthers in a pair of wins last week.  He had 21 points and four rebounds in Milwaukee’s 63-61 victory over Loyola on Thursday and then 20 points and nine rebounds in Saturday’s 78-74 win over UIC.  Hill shot 61.5 percent (16-of-26) from the field for the week and made his only three-point attempt.

For the season, Hill averages 8.6 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

Milwaukee (18-13, 10-8 Horizon League) opens play in the Speedway Horizon League Men’s Basketball Championship Tuesday by hosting UIC at 8 p.m. ET.  The Panthers won their last five League games to tie for fourth place and earn the number-four seed in the tournament.
