Deron Williams Skills Academy Roster

CHICAGO -- Just as he did last summer, Detroit's Ray McCallum is making his way through the summer camp circuit. Over the weekend, McCallum returned to the Deron Williams Skills Academy, competing against 15 of the country's top collegiate point guards.

McCallum previously took part in Chris Paul's CP3 Elite Camp in Winston Salem, N.C., from June 8-11. The Deron Williams Skills Academy ran from June 21-23, with sessions open to NBA scounts and media members.

Last summer, McCallum took part in both the Deron Williams and LeBron James Skills Academies, parlaying the experiences into a spot on USA Basketball's Under-21 Team. The rigorous summer paid off, as the then-sophomore helped lead Detroit to its first Horizon League men's basketball championship since 1999, earning Tournament MVP honors in the process.

McCallum will wait to hear if he has been selected to the LeBron James Skills Academy on July 6.

The rising junior is one of five First Team All-Horizon League selections to be returning to their respective teams this fall.
