INDIANAPOLIS - Butler junior outside hitter Jessica Wolfe has earned Honorable Mention All-America honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). She becomes just the second player in Butler history to capture AVCA All-America accolades, joining Areal Bienemy (2003-04).

"The magnitude of Jessie's accomplishment is inexplicable," Butler Head Coach Sharon Clark said. "I can't think of a better word than overjoyed to describe how we feel for her. Jessie is a multi-faceted competitor with the ability to play the game at a high level. Her passing and ball control as well as her ability to attack at different tempos and from the back row have allowed her to be recognized by coaches among her peers."

The Plainfield, Ind., native is a three-time All-Horizon League and All-Midwest Region honoree. She led the conference with 4.01 kills and 4.62 points per set. She also ranked among the national leaders, charting 47th in the nation in kills and 45th in points.

Wolfe was the only Horizon League player named to the AVCA All-America list. She also becomes the third individual in Sharon Clark's coaching career to gain All-America honors.

Butler volleyball finished the 2009 season with a 21-14 overall record, 10-6 Horizon League record and 9-0 mark at home.
