Valparaiso 35, Green Bay 56

GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – On the same day it broke into the top 25 in the USA Today Coaches Poll, the Green Bay women's basketball team dominated Valparaiso, 56-35, to pick up its eight-straight win and stay perfect in Horizon League play.

Jen Wellnitz paced the Phoenix in the victory with 15 points, a mark that tied her career high set earlier in the season at South Dakota State. Ten of Wellnitz' 15 points came in the first 6:15 of play as she helped Green Bay get out to an 18-5 lead at the end of the first quarter.

UIC 55, Milwaukee 83

MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee women's basketball team quickly built a double-digit lead in the first quarter and never looked back in an 83-55 win over UIC Tuesday night from the Klotsche Center.

The win was the seventh of the season for UWM (13-5, 5-2 Horizon) by 20 points or more, with Tuesday's 28-point Panther win marking the largest margin of victory by either team in the all time series.

A total of 11 different players scored for UWM in this one, with no starter playing more than 26 minutes in the convincing win.
