Wright State clinched the No. 1 seed of the men’s soccer championship last weekend with its victory over Milwaukee and will host the semifinals and championship rounds. The rest of the 2016 tournament field was up for grabs going into the final night of regular season conference action as all ten teams took the pitch.
Green Bay earned the first win of the day and eventual No. 5 seed with its 2-1 victory over Northern Kentucky. The Phoenix will face No. 4 seeded and reigning tournament champion Oakland on Monday at 7:00 p.m. ET. The Golden Grizzlies defeated No. 2 seed UIC with a 5-2 victory this evening to clich the home seed.
Milwaukee took the No. 3 seed of the championship with a last-minute goal over Cleveland State to secure its spot in the top-6. The Panthers will host No. 6 Valparaiso on Monday at 8:00 p.m. ET at Engelmann Stadium.
Wright State claims the Horizon League regular season title for the first time in program history. Wright State will take the pitch in the second semifinal on Thursday night beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET and will face the lowest-remaining seed after the Quarterfinal games.
The Championship begins with the Quarterfinal games on Monday, Nov. 7 with Oakland and Milwaukee as hosts.
Wright State will host the semifinal and finals at Alumni Field beginning on Nov. 10 with the Championship culminating on Nov. 12 at 6:00 p.m. ET in the title match.
All matches will be carried live on ESPN3.
