Valparaiso improved to 9-1 in Horizon League games, winning at Milwaukee for its eighth consecutive win behind 22 points from Alec Peters. Oakland got a monster game from Isaiah Brock, who posted a 16-point, 18-rebound double-double to help the Golden Grizzlies run past Youngstown State. Green Bay out-ran UIC, 84-80, with Warren Jones scoring 18 points and adding seven assists off the bench. Cleveland State posted its best offensive outing of the season behind 24 points from Rob Edwards and knocked off Detroit Mercy.

Valparaiso 71, at Milwaukee 53*
MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Alec Peters scored 16 of his 22 points in the second half when Valparaiso opened with a 20-4 run to race to a 71-53 win over Milwaukee on Saturday night for its eighth straight win.

Micah Bradford added 14 points and Shane Hammink 12 for the Crusaders (19-4, 9-1 Horizon League), who last won nine straight in the first half of the 2007-08 season.

Oakland 90, at Youngstown State 76*
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) -- Jalen Hayes had 21 points and Isaiah Brock added 16 with 18 rebounds as Oakland routed Youngstown State 90-76 on Thursday night.

Hayes hit 8 of 10 from the floor and was 5 of 5 from the free throw line. Brock was 6 of 7 from the floor as Oakland finished hitting 32 of 63 (51 percent) from the field. Brock also grabbed six offensive boards. The Golden Grizzles (17-7, 7-4 Horizon) made 18 of 18 free throws.

at Green Bay 84, UIC 80*
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Warren Jones scored 18 points and Kenneth Lowe had 16 points and Green Bay held off UIC 84-80 from the free throw line making its final eight attempts on Thursday night.

The Flames closed to within two points twice in the last 30 seconds, 80-78 after a jumper by Dominique Matthews and 82-80 after K.J. Santos dunk. But both times the Phoenix thwarted the Flames' momentum by sinking free throws.

at Cleveland State 90, Detroit Mercy 73*
CLEVELAND (AP) -- Rob Edwards scored 24 points and Bobby Word 17 as Cleveland State came on after halftime to defeat Detroit Mercy 90-73 on Thursday night.

The Vikings (7-16, 3-8 Horizon League) trailed by seven at the half but erupted for 57 points after intermission to win going away, finishing 32 of 64 from the floor for 50 percent shooting, including 11 3-pointers and 17 assists.
