ESPN.com: An amazing recovery by Loyola's Lauren Ditscheit

CHICAGO -- Lauren Ditscheit, a senior setter on the Loyola University Chicago volleyball team, has overcome a neurological disorder called opsoclonus myoclonus syndrome (better known as Dancing Eyes-Dancing Feet Syndrome). The illness affects about one in every 10 million people.

Last spring, the disorder took away Ditscheit's smile, her happiness, her motor skills, her vision and her energy. There was also a definite possibility it would end her successful volleyball career.

But Ditscheit has battled through the illness to play in 18 matches and 69 sets for the Ramblers this season. With two weeks left in the regular season, Loyola is now fighting for a spot in the six-team Horizon League Volleyball Championship.

ESPN.com recently documented Ditscheit's inspirational story. Click here to read the full text.
