Vikings Improve To 18-4 On The Season With Sweep Of UIC
The Cleveland State volleyball team notched its eighth 3-0 sweep of the season Saturday afternoon, picking up a Horizon League victory against UIC. With the win, the Vikings improve to 18-4 overall and 7-1 in league action.
Oakland Wins in Straight-Sets over Wright State
Jessica Dood tied for a match-high 13 kills and Amanda Baker recorded 12 kills on a .545 hitting percentage, while Ciara Schultz tallied 40 assists as the Oakland women's volleyball team defeated Wright State in straight sets on Saturday. The Golden Grizzlies improve to 6-2 in league play, including 4-0 on the road.
Campbell Picks Up 1,000th Kill as Crusaders Take Down YSU
Facing its second five-set match in less than 24 hours, the Valparaiso University volleyball team rallied from down two sets to one to come out with a 3-2 (21-25, 25-23, 24-26, 25-20, 15-11) road win at Youngstown State Saturday afternoon. Fittingly, the match ended on a kill from Emily Campbell (Grand Rapids, Mich./Forest Hills Central), as earlier in the match, the junior became the 14th player in Crusader program history to surpass 1,000 career kills.
