Smith lifted Butler to a 67-65 victory against Purdue, tying for the team lead with 12 points and adding six rebounds. The Preseason Second Team All-Horizon League selection went 4-for-5 from the floor and 4-for-5 from the free-throw line. With a block and a steal, Smith was part of a defensive effort that held Purdue without a field goal in the final 8:48 of play.

Hometown: Toledo, Ohio

Middlebrooks scored a career-high 27 points in YSU's 78-72 win over Akron. The senior leader helped the Penguins overcome a 13-point second half deficit as she scored 13 of the team's final 16 points. All 13 of those points came in the final 3:56 of the game.
